Johnette Richardson
With over two decades of experience in community development and organizational leadership, Johnette Richardson is instrumental in guiding the Organizational Assessment Division's approach in our support of network organizations, partners and communities across the country to expand our impact and reach as we continue to focus on improving lives and strengthening communities.
In addition to playing an active, hands-on role developing the vision and strategy for assessments, in partnership with staff and stakeholders, Richardson is responsible for positioning and sustaining NeighborWorks America as a resource for organizational capacity building and serves as an expert on matters of nonprofit health.
Prior to joining NeighborWorks, Richardson was the senior vice president for Maryland Programs at Green & Healthy Homes Initiative, where she led the organization's placed-based work to address health, housing and environmental equity by improving the health of housing in historically disinvested communities throughout Maryland. She also served as chief operating officer at Neighborhood Housing Services of Baltimore, where she managed day-to-day operations and oversaw the deployment of millions of dollars in funds to support homeownership and community development initiatives.
Her leadership has been recognized with several honors, including being named to the Daily Record's Leading Women, Associated Black Charities' Women on the Move and Maryland's Top 100 Women. She is also a proud graduate of prestigious programs such as the NeighborWorks Achieving Excellence Program, the Greater Baltimore Committee Leadership program and the Bank of America Neighborhood Excellence Initiative Leadership program.
Richardson holds a Bachelor of Science from Morgan State University and an MBA from Regis University. She resides in Northeast Baltimore with her husband Evan, daughter Zoe and their beloved goldendoodle Davis. She remains dedicated to her impactful work, fostering sustainable communities, and mentoring future leaders.
