CB225 Asset-Based Community Development: Practices & Principles

This course helps you understand and apply Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) principles to strengthen neighborhoods and empower residents. You’ll learn how to identify and mobilize community assets, facilitate one-on-one engagement, and design programs rooted in local strengths. Through case studies and hands-on exercises, you’ll explore how to collect meaningful data, conduct asset mapping, and build implementation plans that reflect community voices. This training equips you to shift from deficit-based approaches to strategies that celebrate and leverage what communities already have.
