HO274vc Rental Housing Counseling Certification: Part 1

This course provides the tools and knowledge to support clients through every step of the rental housing journey. You’ll learn how to assess client needs, overcome renting obstacles, explain lease terms and apply Fair Housing protections. Through hands-on activities and a Rental Counseling Process Model, you’ll practice real-world counseling scenarios and develop action plans. You’ll also explore best practices, budgeting strategies and how to coach clients to be successful tenants or first-time landlords. Whether you’re new to rental counseling or want to sharpen your skills, this course builds your confidence and effectiveness.

Course Length: 4 weeks online. Live sessions are 1.5 hours weekly
